Kia India is going to launch its new EV9 electric SUV in the Indian market. The company will unveil it on October 3. In such a situation, some select dealers of the company have started taking orders for its booking.
According to the report, the dealers are taking a token amount of ₹ 10 lakh for this. After the launch, the company can start the delivery of this SUV in March 2025. EV9 will be fully imported. It will be brought to India via the CBU route.

Battery Pack: The Kia EV9 will have a 99.8Kwh battery pack.
Range: Its ARAI-certified driving range will be 561km on a single charge.
Power and Torque: It will get a power output of 380bhp and a peak torque of 700Nm with AWD.
Acceleration: With this powertrain, the EV9 will take just 5.3 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h.
Charging Time: It will take just 24 minutes to charge it from 10 to 80% with a DC fast charger.
Dimensions: The length of this SUV is 5,015mm, width 1,980mm, and height 1,780mm. Its wheelbase is 3,100mm.
Safety Features
It will have safety features like 10 airbags, ABS, ESC, downhill brake control, vehicle stability management, all-wheel disc brakes, and a 360-degree camera.
Apart from this, it will also have ADAS Level 2 features, which will include forward collision warning, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, high beam assist and lane keep assist.
Price and Competitors
Price: It is believed that its ex-showroom price can be more than ₹ 1 crore.
Variants: The company will launch this all-electric three-row SUV in 5 color options. However, it will come in only one variant.
Competitors: With this price, the EV9 SUV will compete with luxury and premium models like Land Rover Defender, Volvo XC90, Audi Q8, BMW X5, Range Rover Velar, Mercedes-Benz GLE as well as Lexus RX.

Kia India EV6 electric car is getting a discount of up to ₹ 15 lakh this month. The starting ex-showroom price of this crossover is ₹ 61 lakh.
