Are you considering a new electric scooter but worrying about the battery? Here’s some great news! Honda has made its new electric scooter, the Activa e, even more affordable. Learn how this scooter fits into your budget with the ‘Battery as a Subscription’ plan and the new Lite plan, and what special features it offers.
The Honda Activa e was recently launched in the Indian market, and now it’s even more affordable. The company introduced it with a ‘Battery as a Subscription’ (BaaS) plan. Now, Honda has also introduced a new ‘Lite’ plan for customers who travel short distances, making this scooter even more affordable.

Honda Activa e Battery Subscription Plans
The Activa e was launched in India at ex-showroom prices of ₹1.17 lakh and ₹1.52 lakh. It comes with a battery swapping system, which means it can’t be charged at home or at DC charging stations; only the battery can be replaced. This could have proved costly for many, as its base BaaS plans start at ₹1,999 per month (Basic plan, up to 35 kWh) and ₹3,599 per month (Advanced plan, up to 82 kWh).
To address this issue, Honda has now introduced a new ‘Lite’ plan for the Activa e. This plan, priced at ₹678, provides up to 20 kWh of battery. All of these BaaS plans operate on top of the scooter’s base price. Battery swapping stations are maintained by Honda Power Pack Energy India in the country. Currently, this new plan has been launched in Bengaluru.
