EICMA 2024: Hero XPulse 210 Breaks Cover

Engine

The new Hero Xpulse 210 features a 210cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, generating power of 24.6hp at 9,250rpm and torque of 20.7Nm at 7,250rpm. At the same time the Xpulse 200 4V has an air-cooled engine of 199.6cc which gives 19.1hp at 8,500rpm and 17.35Nm torque at 6,500rpm.

Apparently the Xpulse 210 is ahead in both power and refinement. In addition it has a 6-speed gearbox which makes highway cruising even more smooth, while 200 4V only gets 5-speed gearbox. That is, Xpulse 210 feels more stable and powerful in long distance riding.

Acceleration

If you are a speed fan, this part will be most interesting for you. Both bikes were tried in dry road condition during the test. The Xpulse 210 completed 0-60 kmph in just 3.9 seconds, while the 200 4V took 4.33 seconds. It took the Xpulse 210 11.2 seconds to reach 0–100 kmph and 200 4V 13.52 seconds. Although the 200 4V is about 9 kg lighter, its performance was superb. But overall, the Xpulse 210 gives faster and better acceleration.

Braking

Both bikes have 276mm on the front and 220mm disc brakes on the rear. According to test results, the Xpulse 210 completed 60–0 kmph braking at 17.89 m, while the 200 4V at 18.11 m. That is, the difference is very minor. This difference will not be felt in the real world. However, applying fast brakes in both bikes realizes front fork dive, which is normal for Adventure bikes.

Variants

The Xpulse 210 comes in two variants, Base and Top. The engine is similar in both, but Top variants feature advanced features such as TFT Display, dual-channel ABS, knuckle guards and windscreen, making it more attractive.

At the same time the Xpulse 200 4V is available in three variants, Standard, Pro, and Dakar Edition. Of these, the Pro and Dakar Edition versions are more adventure-ready, as they feature long-travel suspension, handlebar risers and block-pattern tyres, which are perfect for off-road riding.
