Italian superbike maker Ducati has launched its high-performance touring machine Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak in India at a price of Rs 36.16 lakh (ex-showroom). It is by far the sportiest, most focused and most advanced version of the Multistrada Series, designed specifically for riders who do not compromise on speed, stability and premium riding experience.
Powerful engine
Multistrada V4 Pikes is the heart of Peak with its powerful 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine, which produces tremendous power of 168bhp and strong torque of 123.8Nm. This engine is Euro-5+ compliant and also E20 fuel ready, that is, when fuel changes in India in future, this bike will be able to run without any problem. Interestingly, Ducati has made this engine so advanced that its service interval is also quite long. Engine oil is replaced every 15,000 km and valve service at 60,000 km. This means that this bike is not just for riding, but for being with you for a long time.
Race Riding Mode
In this new version, Ducati has given the Race Riding Mode for the first time, giving it a real Supersport machine-like experience. As you switch to this mode, the bike reaches a very different level. Fast acceleration, sharp quickshifter and direct throttle response give a very aggressive feel to the bike track. Its rear-cylinder deactivation system remains active even at low speeds, so that the engine is less hot and the riding condition remains more comfortable.

Ducati has delivered the Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension system at Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, derived from the company’s superbikes. This system completely adjusts itself according to your riding style. If you are riding fast, it tightens the automatic suspension, so that the bike remains stable. At the same time it becomes soft in long highway rides, which increases comfort. This feature makes this bike a master of the Sport, Comfort and Touring — three segments.
Radar Based Safety Tech
The most special thing about this bike is its radar-based safety system, which is extremely rare in the superbike segment. It gets Adaptive Cruise Control, which adjusts the speed on the highway itself according to traffic. Blind Spot Detection informs you of rear vehicles, while Forward Collision Warning alerts you in time about a possible collision.
