5 New SUVs Coming to India: Renault and Nissan Reveal Future Launch Roadmap

New Renault Nissan SUVs in India: Leading car manufacturers Renault and Nissan are once again gearing up to strengthen their foothold on Indian roads. Leveraging their global partnership, the two companies plan to launch at least five new powerful SUVs in India by 2028.

While the return of the new Duster is eagerly awaited, vehicles like Nissan’s Tekton and Renault’s Bridger are poised to disrupt the mid-size and sub-4-meter segments. Equipped with excellent engineering, advanced hybrid technology, and premium features, these vehicles will not only challenge Tata and Mahindra but also provide customers with a superior driving experience.

1. New Renault Duster

Renault is relaunching the third generation of its most popular SUV, the Duster, in India. It has been specifically designed keeping in mind the preferences and road conditions of Indian customers. It will be introduced with a petrol engine on March 21, 2026, while its hybrid variant is expected by the end of the year. The new Duster will feature a more robust design and modern connectivity features, making it a strong contender in the mid-size SUV segment.

2. Nissan Tekton (5-Seater)

Nissan is preparing to launch its new SUV, the Tekton, with a sharp and bold look. According to reports, its global unveiling will take place at the end of March, and it will hit the roads by April 2026. This vehicle will be equipped with hybrid technology, which will make it very economical in terms of mileage. It will compete directly with vehicles like the Toyota Hyryder and Maruti Grand Vitara.

3. Renault’s Three-Row SUV

Renault is planning to launch a large three-row SUV by the end of 2026. This vehicle will be ideal for families looking for more space and premium features. It is expected to feature luxury features like ventilated second-row seats and three-zone automatic climate control. Power is expected to be provided by a 1.3-liter turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.8-liter hybrid engine.

4. Nissan Tekton (7-Seater)

Nissan is also planning to launch its 7-seater SUV in the first quarter of 2026. While it may be named ‘Tekton,’ its exterior design will be distinctly different and more muscular than the 5-seater model. It will feature high-tech features like a panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch digital cluster, a 360-degree camera, and a powered tailgate. This vehicle will also be available in both petrol and hybrid options.

5. Renault Bridger

Renault’s Bridger will be a compact SUV that will directly challenge the Tata Nexon and Maruti Brezza. Its key highlights will be its robust build quality and excellent ground clearance. It will be powered by a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine, making it a nimble vehicle for both city traffic and highway driving. This could prove to be Renault’s biggest bet in the budget segment.
