Design
First of all, look at the front design. While larger, conventional headlamps were found in the old Punch, the design in the 2026 facelift has become more sharp and muscular. The new version features vertically oriented headlamp clusters, which now appear to be inspired by new Tata models such as Punch EV and Nexon. LED DRLs have been shifted near the bonnet and now also serve as turn indicators. They have a slim black grill in the middle, which has become Punch’s identity.
The side profile has not changed much. The same chunky body cladding and C-pillar mounted rear door handles remain intact. The difference is that the new 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels are now available, giving the SUV a more fresh look. ORVMs have also undergone a mild change — now they have an under-side camera for a 360-degree camera system.
The change in the back is seen clearly. The older model’s smaller taillamps are now replaced with a connected LED taillight setup, which gives Punch a more premium feel. The bumpers with a shark-fin antenna and a new silver skid plate also make it more modern.
color options
Punch has received four new color options with the 2026 facelift. Cyantific Blue, Coorg Clouds, Bengal Rouge and Caramel. Like the older model, it also has dual-tone paint options. Overall, the new Punch now seems more youthful and urban than before.
Interior
Talking about the interior, the traditional steering wheel of the old Punch has now carried Tata’s new 2-spoke steering, seen in models such as Nexon and Harrier. Central AC vents have been given a new and clean design. The physical climate control button has now been removed and given a touch-based panel — it seems modern, but everyone in use likes it, not necessarily.
The seat fabric has also been changed. While the old Punch had a tri-arrow pattern, the facelift features a gray and blue dual-tone theme. The great relief is that now the seats have extended under-Thai support, which will cause less fatigue in long drives. However, headrest is still not given for the rear-end passenger, which is slightly disturbed.
Features
Talking about features, the 10.25-inch touchscreen is the same as before, but now its bezels have become thinner. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay meet as before. The 7-inch digital driver display, wireless charger, push-button start, cruise control and single-pen sunroof — are all carry forward features from the old Punch.
what’s new? The largest edition is a 360-degree camera, which makes parking in the city easier. Apart from this, auto-dimming IRVM has also been given, which reduces the thrust of the eyes during night driving.
Engine
The largest game-changer is the new 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine. The old Punch only had naturally aspirated petrol and CNG options. Now the facelift has the same turbo engine, which is also used in Nexon. It gives 120 PS power and 170 Nm of torque, making Punch more agile than ever.

2026 Tata Punch is priced from ₹5.59 lakh to ₹10.54 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It competes with the Hyundai Exter and Citroen C3. It also serves as an affordable alternative to cars like the Maruti Fronx and Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor.
