: Big update is revealed regarding PM Awas Yojana. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, the effective implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin has gained new momentum in the state. In order to accelerate the housing construction works under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin ( ) in the financial year 2026-27, the state government has released central and state share amount of Rs 2677.15 crore to all the districts of the state. This amount has been allocated to the districts through SNA SPARSH module, so that the housing construction works of eligible beneficiaries can be completed in a timely and transparent manner.

PMAY-G Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the pledge of “a permanent house for every poor” is rapidly becoming a reality in Chhattisgarh . Our government is committed to ensuring that no eligible family in the state is deprived of basic amenities like permanent housing. A permanent home is not just four walls, but a strong foundation for a family’s dignity, security, stability, and a better future.

Chief Minister Sai said that housing construction work under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin is progressing rapidly in the state. More than 1,600 permanent homes are being constructed daily in the state, and over 10.60 lakh homes have been completed in the last two and a half years. By constructing more than 6 lakh homes in the 2025-26 fiscal year alone, Chhattisgarh has been among the leading states in the country. He said that this achievement is not just a statistic, but the story of the dreams, self-respect, and secure lives of millions of poor families.

Chief Minister Sai has directed the officials to utilize the released amount as per the guidelines of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin and complete the houses of eligible beneficiaries soon, so that every needy family can be provided safe and respectable pucca house on time.

Chief Minister Sai stated that the role of women’s self-help groups has been crucial in the implementation of the scheme. More than 10,000 women self-help groups in the state have become economically empowered by engaging in construction material supply work and have progressed towards becoming “lakhpati didis.” He added that this scheme is not limited to housing construction, but is also becoming a vehicle for women’s empowerment, livelihood promotion, and social change.

Chief Minister Sai stated that the state government is also working sensitively to integrate surrendered Naxalites and Naxal-affected families into the mainstream of development. By providing these families with permanent housing, a new environment of security, stability, and trust is being created in their lives. He added that as part of an innovative initiative, rainwater harvesting systems have been developed in more than 1.5 lakh houses in the state, promoting water conservation.

 

Additionally, a toll-free helpline number, 1800-233-1290, is being operated to promptly resolve beneficiary complaints, and QR codes have been displayed in gram panchayats to ensure transparency in the scheme. Chief Minister Sai stated that his government is committed to ensuring good governance, transparency, and sensitivity, ensuring the benefits of schemes reach the last person.
