CNG Price Hike: Big news for everyone. Petrol and diesel prices have remained stable for the past several days, but CNG prices have increased. These prices came into effect from 6 am on Sunday, November 16th. Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has increased CNG prices in some cities. The price of CNG has increased by Rs 1/kg in different cities. This means that if your car is also CNG-powered, traveling may prove to be a bit more expensive from today. Auto drivers will be affected on a large scale.

What are the prices now in which city?

Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) announced the CNG price hike late Saturday night. The company provided this information in an X-post.

According to IGL, CNG prices in Noida and Greater Noida (GA) have been increased from Rs 84.70/kg to Rs 85.70/kg. In Kanpur (GA), CNG prices have been increased from Rs 87.92/kg to Rs 88.92/kg. Except for Hapur, CNG in Ghaziabad (GA) will now be available at Rs 85.70/kg instead of Rs 84.70/kg.

Why were the prices increased?

IGL stated that these price revisions are aimed at maintaining operational stability amid fluctuations in input costs. IGL periodically reviews CNG prices in response to changes in natural gas procurement costs and government policies. Currently, CNG prices have remained unchanged in areas other than Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, and Kanpur. It should be noted that IGL supplies CNG to over 7 million vehicles in Delhi-NCR and surrounding areas.
