CNG Becomes Expensive

Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has announced that this price revision is intended to address fluctuations in natural gas procurement costs and maintain operational stability. IGL, which supplies CNG to over 7 million vehicles in the National Capital Region (NCR) and surrounding areas, periodically reviews prices in line with its input costs.
New CNG Rates by City
The new CNG rates announced by IGL came into effect from 6:00 am on November 16, 2025. Prices have been increased uniformly by an average of ₹1 per kilogram.
The price of CNG in Kanpur (GA) has increased from ₹87.92 per kilogram to ₹88.92 per kilogram. In areas like Noida and Greater Noida (GA), rates have increased from ₹84.70 per kilogram to ₹85.70 per kilogram. In Ghaziabad (excluding Hapur), prices have also increased from ₹84.70 per kilogram to ₹85.70 per kilogram.
This price increase will result in a slight increase in daily travel expenses for passengers and fleet operators in the affected areas, directly impacting their monthly budgets. At present, IGL has not announced any further price revisions for other gas distribution areas (GAs).
