Driving License Update: The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has issued a warning to all driving license holders across the country to update their registered mobile numbers immediately. The ministry has stated that if your number is incorrect, disabled, or not linked to your license, you may miss out on many important government information. Therefore, update your mobile number as soon as possible. This includes services such as challans, penalty notices, and license renewal reminder messages.
Old numbers can become a major problem
According to the ministry, all official information related to driving licenses is sent to the registered mobile number. If this number is outdated or incorrect, the system cannot update your information. In many states, this situation can lead to delays in license renewal or even license suspension. Therefore, people are advised to immediately check their numbers and make the necessary updates.

Help senior citizens, too
The Ministry has urged citizens to check the driving licenses of their elderly family members. Often, their old mobile numbers are deactivated, leaving them deprived of government information. In such cases, younger family members can assist them to avoid future problems.
Correct information will provide relief
It’s crucial to keep your driving license information up-to-date. A correct mobile number will ensure you receive timely notifications of challans, fines, renewal dates, and other important notices. This can help you avoid unnecessary fines, delays, or license suspensions.
