Following this order, residents of Bihar will no longer have to wait long to obtain their license. According to a government order, chip-enabled driving licenses will now be issued within 24 hours of passing the driving test. Previously, it took a long time for people to receive their cards. The new system is expected to make the process faster and more reliable.
The Transport Department has been instructed to ensure robust license and RC printing systems in all districts. Each district must have at least 90 days’ worth of card printing materials. Officials have been clearly told that any negligence will not be tolerated. Transport Minister Shravan Kumar issued this order during a departmental review meeting. According to the department, more than 55,000 driving license applications are received in Bihar every month. Given the increasing pressure, the decision has been made to expedite the process.
There are two ways to apply for a driving license. You can apply through the online portal or complete the process offline at your nearest office. In both cases, a driving test is required, after which the license is issued.
