Government Implements Faster Process
To expedite the driving license process, the Bihar government has issued a new order. The Bihar government will now issue a chip-enabled driving license within 24 hours of passing the driving test. Previously, it took a long time for people to receive their cards, but the new system is considered faster and more reliable.
Printing System Implemented in Districts
The Transport Department has been instructed to ensure that sufficient materials for printing licenses and registration certificates (RCs) are always available in all districts. Each district will maintain at least 90 days’ worth of card printing materials. Officials have also been instructed that any negligence will not be tolerated.

Government Statistics Released
According to the department, approximately 55,000 driving license applications are received every month in Bihar. Considering this increasing demand, the state government has decided to expedite the process. Transport Minister Shravan Kumar issued the order to implement this facility during a departmental review meeting.
Driving License Application Process
A driving license can be applied for in two ways: first, through the online portal, and second, by completing the offline process at the nearest transport office. In both cases, passing the driving test is mandatory. A permanent driving license is issued only after passing the test.
