Ahead of IPL 2026, good news came on Wednesday for Chennai Super Kings ( CSK ) and MS Dhoni fans. In fact, MS Dhoni is fully prepared to play in the next season of the IPL. This was confirmed by Chennai Super Kings ( CSK ) CEO Kasi Vishwanath. According to Kasi Vishwanath, former Indian captain MS Dhoni will not retire from the IPL and will play in the upcoming season of this 10-team league.
Recently, when asked by some young people about MS Dhoni’s retirement, Kashi Vishwanath said that the 44-year-old is not retiring from IPL 2026. In this video shared on YouTube, when asked again when Dhoni will retire, he said, “I will ask him and then I will answer you.” When asked about CSK winning the IPL 2026 title next season, he said, “We are ready, but we don’t know if we will be able to win. We will try our best.”
Dhoni’s performance in IPL 2025
In IPL 2025, MS Dhoni played 14 matches for the Chennai Super Kings, scoring 196 runs at a strike rate of 135.17. His highest score that season was 30 not out.
CSK disappointed its fans
Chennai Super Kings had a disappointing performance in IPL 2025. CSK managed to win only four of their 14 league matches, while losing ten. As a result, Chennai finished at the bottom of the points table for the first time in IPL history.
