The craze of SUVs continues to grow day by day in India. People are now paying attention to not only the powerful engine, but also the stylish design and premium features. In this episode, Nissan Tekton and New Renault Duster are two upcoming SUVs that offer tremendous combat with their looks and design.

Front Design
If we talk about Nissan Tekton, its front look looks like a small Nissan Patrol. Full-width LED light bar and ‘C’ shaped headlamps spread throughout its front give it a futuristic look. At the same time, the design of the Renault Duster reflects a more boxy and rough-tuff SUV look. It offers Y-shaped LED headlights and bold ‘RENAULT’ grill branding, making it even more muscular.

Interestingly, both SUVs have a muscular finish on the bonnet, making them look quite strong and powerful. However, the design of the grill and bumpers differs in both, giving them their identity.
Rear design
Looking back, the look of both SUVs is very different. Nissan Tekton offers C-shaped connected LED tail lights, which further strengthen its modern SUV identity. On the other hand, the Renault Duster features Y-shaped LED tail lamps, making it bold and stylish. Both have bumpy design rugged, giving them a solid SUV feel.
Interior
Nissan has just a glimpse of Tekton’s interior, with multi-layered dashboard, gloss black finish and copper accent — giving it a feel of a premium SUV.
At the same time the interior of the Renault Duster offers black and grey dual-tone themes, as well as ‘Duster’ insignia on the co-driver side. However the features found in the Duster in the Global version include 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 7-inch digital display, 6-speaker Arkamys 3D sound system, and ADAS safety suite.

Engine
Talking about the engine, Nissan Tekton’s engine options have not been revealed yet, but it is expected to see an option of hybrid powertrain. At the same time, the international version of Renault Duster has many engine options like LPG, mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid. After launch in India, both SUVs will compete with popular SUVs such as Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara and Volkswagen Taigun.

Price and Launch
If it comes to price, Nissan Tekton’s initial X-showroom price could start at around ₹10.5 million, while the New Renault Duster’s estimated starting price will be around ₹10 million.
Both SUVs are expected to launch in the Indian market by mid-2026. Both Nissan and Renault are going to bring tremendous competition to the Indian mid-size SUV segment with their designs and features.
