Launch
Nissan Tekton will be launched in India in a phased manner. The company will fully reveal the SUV in February 2026, showcasing its design, interior, and technology. The Nissan Tekton India launch is then expected by mid-2026. After its launch, this SUV will be positioned between the Magnite and X-Trail in Nissan’s lineup, giving the brand a strong option in the mid-size SUV segment.

Design
Design of the 2026 Nissan Tekton SUV is directly inspired by Nissan’s flagship SUV Nissan Patrol. Its boxy shape, wide stance and bold front grille give it a strong presence on the road. The C-shaped LED lighting signature gives it a different identity even at night, so that it does not lose in the SUV crowd.
A very special and unique design element is seen on its front doors, where “Double-C” Shaped Accent is given. This includes the Inspired Mountain Range design from the Himalayas. This small detail clearly states that Tekton has been specifically designed keeping in mind the Indian market.
Platform
Nissan Tekton will be built on the CMF-B modular platform of the Renault-Nissan Alliance. The same platform will also form the base of the upcoming next-generation Renault Duster. The advantage of this platform is that it is considered light, strong and safety-wise to be quite advanced.
Talking about size, Tekton can be about 4.3 meters in length, while the wheelbase is expected to be around 2.6 meters. This will have direct advantage in cabin space, where rear seat passengers can also get good legroom and comfort.
Features and Interior
Nissan Tekton Features can be very strong. Laird dashboard design will be found in the interior, using soft-touch materials. A 10.1-inch large touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster will give it a modern feel.
In addition, features such as automatic climate control and ventilated front seats are also expected to be found, which will make the long journey more comfortable. Top variants can feature advanced safety features such as a 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS. In this way Tekton can become a strong contender in its segment in terms of technology.

Engine
Talking about engines, Nissan Tekton can be offered with many petrol options. The most important engine could be a 1.3-liter turbo-petrol, which would be paired with a manual and dual-clutch automatic gearbox. In addition, a small petrol or mild-hybrid engine may also be included in the line-up.
According to reports, Nissan is also working on a full hybrid version, but this variant may launch around 2027. It is clear that the company is preparing to remain in the Indian market with long planning.
