The company will fully introduce its production-ready model in April 2026, while it is expected to launch its market by June-July 2026. That is, in the summer of next year, this new model may be seen running on Indian roads.
Engine Options and Hybrid Plans
The SUV is being built on Renault-Nissan’s CMF-B platform, the same platform that will also support the next-generation Renault Duster. Currently, only petrol engines are planned with this. It has a 1.3L turbo petrol engine that generates 154PS of power and 250Nm of torque.
In its lower variants, the company is also considering delivering 1.0L turbo petrol, which can be tuned lightly. In addition, Hybrid Tekton is also expected to be introduced in 2027, setting a new precedent in SUV mileage and smooth driving.
Price and competition
Now if you talk about the price, Nissan can offer this SUV in an aggressive pricing range. It will cost ₹1 million – ₹16 lakhs (ex-showroom). At this price it will compete directly with big names like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Maruti Grand Vitara and Victor.
