Watch: Nitish Kumar Reddy Takes Flying Catch for Team India, Video Now Viral

A significant day for Indian cricket. On Saturday, they won against West Indies in a Test match in Ahemdabad, and on the other side, BCCI announced two full squads for the T20I series and ODI series against Australia starting from October 19. For the high octane series, BCCI keep their faith on emerging allrounder Nitish Kumar Reddy. During the Test match against West Indies, Reddy took a high flying catch.

This is how he takes the catch

Before the start of play on the third day, India declared their first innings at 448/5. Following this, West Indies’ John Campbell and Tagenarine Chanderpaul came out to open the second innings. Both batsmen were playing cautiously when Mohammed Siraj, who came on to bowl the eighth over of the innings, broke Chanderpaul’s patience. On the second ball of the over, the Caribbean batsman attempted a pull shot off Siraj’s short ball to the left of square leg. Nitish Kumar Reddy, stationed there, surprised everyone by taking a long leap to his left. The 22-year-old all-rounder caught the ball mid-air, forcing Chanderpaul to leave the pavilion.

West Indies lost the match without making any significant resistance

The West Indies team has high hopes for Chanderpaul on their tour of India. However, he flopped badly in the first Test. Opening the innings in the first innings, Chanderpaul faced just 11 balls and failed to open his account. Mohammed Siraj dismissed him, caught by Dhruv Jurel.

After a disastrous first innings, the team expected a strong performance from him in the second. However, he failed to shine even here. Opening the innings, he faced a total of 23 balls and managed only eight runs, including a four.
