Updated Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z: Bajaj Auto has introduced an updated version of the Pulsar NS400Z. This time, rather than making major changes to the engine or basic design, the company has focused more on technology and connected features. The updated Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z now features a new 5-inch TFT instrument console, bringing updates such as Google Maps mirroring, music controls, and a lap timer. Powered by a 349cc engine delivering 40 PS of power, the bike is priced at ₹1.90 lakh. Let’s take a closer look at the details.

Updated Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z Price

Starting with the price, the new Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z is priced at ₹1.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This represents an increase of approximately ₹4,000 compared to the previous version. The bike now includes a new TFT display along with several associated practical features.

The NS400Z was already the most powerful naked streetfighter in the Pulsar lineup; with the addition of the new instrument console, its technology package has become even more modern. Bajaj has recently begun introducing similar features across its other Pulsar models as well.

New 5-Inch TFT Display

The most significant update to the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z is its new 5-inch TFT instrument console. Compared to the older model, this display looks more modern and offers much more than just basic riding information.

The TFT display supports Google Maps mirroring, allowing the rider to view navigation details directly on the bike’s screen. Additionally, the console enables music control. The connected system also includes a document storage feature, allowing access to select vehicle-related information.

Ride Modes and Traction Control

The new TFT display isn’t just for navigation and music; it also houses controls for the bike’s four selectable ride modes and the traction control system. This makes it easier for the rider to manage various settings.

The NS400Z features an electronic throttle body that supports these four ride modes. Traction control helps enhance safety and rider confidence. Additionally, a USB Type-C charging port has been added to this updated model.

Safety

Bajaj has also introduced a ‘Panic Brake Alert’ feature with this update. This feature helps alert other road users during instances of sudden, severe braking. Complemented by the existing dual-channel ABS and traction control, this new addition further strengthens the bike’s safety package. The bi-directional quickshifter has also been retained.

349cc Engine

Regarding the engine, it is powered by a 349cc, four-valve, DOHC, liquid-cooled unit. This engine delivers a maximum power of 40 PS at 9,000 rpm and a peak torque of 33 Nm at 7,500 rpm.

The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. According to the company, the bike boasts a power-to-weight ratio of 229 PS per tonne. In this update, Bajaj has chosen to focus on the rider interface and convenience features, rather than altering the engine output.
