Upcoming Cars in October 2026: – The Indian auto market is set for a busy start in October 2026. Three new cars—comprising a luxury sedan, a midsize SUV, and a premium sedan—are expected to make their debut within the first ten days of the month. The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Facelift could launch on October 5, while the Honda Elevate Facelift and Skoda Slavia Facelift are scheduled for launch on October 6. Let’s take a closer look at the details of these three cars.
Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Facelift
Mercedes-Benz may launch its Maybach S-Class Facelift in early October. This luxury sedan is expected to be introduced in India on October 5, 2026. While retaining the core design, the company has made specific changes to the front profile of the facelift model. The new car will feature a larger illuminated grille, updated headlamps, and new star-shaped daytime running lights.
In terms of design, there won’t be drastic changes, but the luxury sedan will sport a more modern look. The cabin of the Maybach S-Class will continue to offer a premium experience. It is expected to retain features such as a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.4-inch central touchscreen, and a 12.3-inch display for the front passenger. In international markets, the S580 version comes with a 4.0-litre V8 engine that generates approximately 537hp of power and 750Nm of torque. However, full details regarding the engine and specifications of the model destined for India are expected to be revealed at the time of launch.
Honda Elevate Facelift
The Honda Elevate Facelift is expected to launch on October 6, just a day after the Mercedes-Maybach. Honda is preparing to launch the Elevate with more features and an updated design. This facelift model may feature a revised front grille, updated LED lighting, new front and rear bumpers, and fresh alloy wheels. Along with exterior changes, the cabin is also expected to receive some new features.
Key updates in the feature list could include ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen. Features like the 360-degree camera and ventilated seats, in particular, will lend a premium feel to the Elevate.
Regarding the engine, the existing 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine is expected to be retained. This engine delivers approximately 119 hp of power and 145 Nm of torque. It offers the choice of either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox.
Skoda Slavia Facelift
The Skoda Slavia Facelift could also launch in the Indian market on October 6, alongside the Honda Elevate Facelift. The updated Slavia has already been unveiled (on August 18), and its launch is now awaited. The company has made changes to the sedan’s styling, features, and transmission.
The most significant mechanical update for the new Slavia is the introduction of a new 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox paired with the 1.0-litre TSI engine; this will replace the older 6-speed automatic unit. Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre TSI engine will continue to be offered with the 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox, just as before. No major changes are expected in its power output.
The 1.0-litre TSI engine delivers approximately 115hp, while the 1.5-litre TSI engine generates around 150hp. This time, Skoda has focused more on enhancing the driving experience and features rather than completely altering the performance.
