Weather Forecast: Imd alert heavy rains along with thunderstorms in these states

Weather Update: In most of the states of the country, the scorching sun and severe heat are making life miserable for the people. The increasing heat has made people sweat. Seeing the strong sunlight during the day, people are not even daring to go out of the house. In some states, the temperature has gone above 42 degrees Celsius.

In view of the scorching heat, people have kept themselves confined in their homes.At the same time, there are some states where rain, storms, and snowfall are being seen. There has been a drop in temperature after minor snowfall in the hilly parts of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.

There is a situation of rain, thunder, and storms in some areas of the country. IMD has issued an alert regarding heavy rain in many states of the country.

IMD Alert Rainfall

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), most of the north-eastern states may see heavy rains along with thunderstorms. An orange alert has also been issued regarding bad weather.

Heavy rains may be recorded in many areas of Arunachal Pradesh on May 5, 2024. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura as well.

IMD Alert Heatwave

According to the IMD, there is going to be severe heat in West Bengal and Odisha. The temperature is continuously being recorded above 40 degrees Celsius. Due to this, normal life is likely to be badly affected.

The temperature in Boudh, Odisha, crossed 44 degrees, due to which people started sweating. An alert has been issued regarding severe heat in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. In view of the scorching heat in Kerala, holidays have been announced in schools.

Delhi Weather

The sky is going to remain clear in the capital, Delhi, until May 7. Strong winds will continue in Delhi. However, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in Delhi on May 9.

According to IMD, the maximum temperature in Delhi can be recorded between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius this entire week. The minimum temperature can remain between 22 and 24 degrees Celsius.
