Maruti Next Generation Swift VS Hyundai i10 Nios: Maruti Suzuki has launched the fourth generation Swift hatchback in India with new design, new features and advanced electronics. Engine, Mileage and Performance

Maruti Suzuki Swift is powered by the new Z series 1.2-litre 3-cylinder normally aspirated petrol engine, which replaces the 1.2-litre 4-cylinder power unit. This engine is available with 5-speed gearbox and 5-speed AMT gearbox.

The engine has a maximum power of 80.46 hp and a maximum torque of 111.7 Nm. In the manual version, the engine gives a mileage of 24.8 kilometers per liter, while the AMT variant has a mileage of 25.75 kilometers per liter.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is offered in petrol and petrol-CNG dual fuel options.The hatchback is powered by a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 5-speed AMT transmission option. In the gasoline version, the engine produces a maximum power of 82 hp and 113.8 Nm of torque. It also produces 68 hp of power and 95.2 Nm of torque in CNG mode.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is a more powerful car than Maruti New Gen Swift. There is also a petrol-CNG bi-directional powertrain that gives the Grand i10 Nios a bit of the new Swift flair.

Price

Maruti Suzuki Swift is priced between Rs 6.49 lakh to Rs 9.65 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, on the other hand, is priced between Rs 5.92 lakh and Rs 8.56 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is clearly cheaper than the new-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift.
