Railway News: Action has started to lay a third railway line about 153 km long from Ambala to Ludhiana-Jalandhar. In this regard, DC Ajay Singh Tomar held a meeting with railway officials. The Deputy Commissioner took detailed information about the work to be done on the proposed railway line from Ambala to Ludhiana-Jalandhar.
XEN Nirmal Singh of the construction wing of the railway said that two new tracks are proposed to be built from Delhi to Ambala. Work will also be done to build a third additional railway line from Ambala to Ludhiana-Jalandhar.

Along with this, the movement of new trains will also be done through this track. He also told that two tracks have been built on the Ambala-Delhi railway line, but now they are being expanded as per time. It is proposed to build two new tracks from Delhi to Ambala. He said that earlier there was movement of goods trains, passenger and other trains due to which the tracks were busy. Trains also could not reach on time many times.

He said that the express trains will also be able to reach on time. This will provide great relief to the passengers. With the construction of Ambala-Ludhiana-Jalandhar track, the areas of Ambala, Patiala, Fatehgarh, Ludhiana, Kapurthala and Jalandhar will be covered.

The Deputy Commissioner directed all the officers to complete this action plan with coordination. He said that in view of the construction of these new tracks, the Public Health Department, Public Health and Electricity Corporation should also keep in mind that no pipeline or other work of theirs is proposed under the construction of the track. Inform the Railway Department about this so that all the work can be done with better coordination.
