Kachori Making Recipe:- It is impossible to not feel like eating hot kachori in the rainy season. But if you want to avoid oil-fried kachori, then there is no need to worry. We have brought for you a great, oil-free kachori recipe, which is not at all less in taste. The best part? This kachori is also healthy and you do not have to spend hours in the kitchen to make it. So let’s know how this tasty kachori is made.

Ingredients List: For Kachori Dough:

Wheat Flour: 2 cups

Salt: ½ tsp

Oil: 1 tbsp

Water: As required

For Kachori Stuffing:

Washed Moong Dal: ½ cup

Red Chili Powder: ½ tsp

Green Chili: 1 (finely chopped)

Ginger: 1 tsp (grated)

Fennel: ½ tsp

Asafoetida: 1 pinch

Coriander Powder: 1 tsp

Oil: 1 tbsp

Salt: As per taste

Method of Preparation:

Firstly, soak the moong dal in water overnight or at least for 4-5 hours. After this, drain all the water from the dal and grind it coarsely.

Now, take wheat flour in a vessel. Add salt and oil to it and mix well. Then add water little by little and knead a hard dough. Keep it covered for 20 minutes so that the dough sets.

Now it’s time to make the stuffing. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan. Add asafoetida and fennel seeds to it. When the fennel seeds start crackling, add ginger and green chillies and fry lightly.

Now add ground lentils, red chili powder, coriander powder and salt to it. Fry it on low flame for 5-7 minutes till the rawness of the lentils goes away. Once the masala is roasted, turn off the gas and let it cool.

Make small balls of dough and roll them a little. Fill one spoon of stuffing in the middle and close the ball properly, as is done for kachori.

Now the most important step! Bake your kachoris in the airfryer. Preheat the airfryer at 180 degrees Celsius for 5 minutes. Brush some ghee or oil on the kachoris and place them in the airfryer basket.

Bake the kachoris for 10-12 minutes. Keep turning them every 4-5 minutes so that they turn golden and crispy on both sides.

Your hot, oil-free kachori is ready! Serve it with your favourite chutney or sauce and enjoy the rains to the fullest.

If you don’t have an airfryer, you can also make these kachoris on a non-stick pan. Just apply a little oil on the pan and fry them on low flame till they turn golden on both sides.
