What ingredients are required to make Matar Ki Kachori?

Green peas – 2 cups

Wheat flour – 2 cups

Maida – 1 cup

Chopped ginger – 1 teaspoon

How is Matar Ki Kachori made?

Step 1—First, you’ll need to take flour in a bowl and sift it through. Now, add two tablespoons of oil and salt to the flour, mixing it well.
Step 2 – Now add lukewarm water little by little and knead soft dough, then cover it and keep it aside for 30 minutes.

Step 3 – Now prepare the filling for the shortbread. To do this, first heat water on the stove, add the peas, and bring it to a boil. This should take about 10 minutes.

Step 4—Now put boiled peas, green chilies, and ginger in the mixer and grind them coarsely and prepare a paste.

Step 5 – Now heat oil in a pan, add asafoetida, then add the pea paste and salt, and mix well.

Step 6 – Now after roasting the peas for five minutes on medium flame, turn off the gas and keep it aside to cool.

Step 7- Now heat oil in another pan and knead the dough again, forming small balls. Roll out the dough, place the filling in the centre, and roll it upwards from all sides, closing the shortbread and rolling it into a round shape.

Step 8 – Now heat the oil in a pan and add the kachoris one by one, turning them over on both sides and frying them. This way, your matar kachoris will be ready.
