Ingredients required for Cashew Modak:
1 cup cashew nuts
1/2 cup powdered sugar (can increase or decrease as per requirement)
1 tablespoon velchi pud
1 spoon toop
1-2 spoons of milk
Sukleya Gulabachya Pakla (for decoration)
Finely chopped pistachios (for decoration and for serving)
Kesharache threads (for decoration)
modak mold
Method to make Cashew Modak:
1. Preparation:
Do not forget to buy modak mold from the market, which will give perfect shape to the modak.
Grind half the cashews finely in a mixer. They should become completely soft and powdery.
Then collect sugar and velichi and grind it finely in a mixer. Mix sugar and Velchicha aroma well.
Keep aside finely chopped pistachios.
2. Modakachan Mixture:
Take one large, finely ground cashew powder. Add powdered sugar to taste.
If you want to make a sugar-free modak, simply omit the sugar. Due to the natural sugar in cashew nuts, there is no need for much sugar.
When it comes, add one or two spoons of milk and mix the mixture. Due to the natural oil in cashew nuts, the mixture becomes soft immediately. Therefore, do not add too much milk; otherwise, the mixture will be fragile.
After mixing the mixture, add a small amount of sugar and knead it again until it becomes soft and smooth.
3. Making Modak:
Take the modak mould. Place rose petals and saffron threads inside it, which will give the modakana an attractive look.
Now, fill the cashewnut mixture in both the side molds.
Please make a small hole in the centre and fill it with finely chopped pistachios.
Close the mould, press the mixture and take out the modak.
In this way, you can prepare all the modaks and offer Bappala naivedya.
These modaks do not spoil quickly and are easy to prepare. Or make instant cashew modak nakki on Ganesh Chaturthi and make Bappala happy!
