What ingredients are required to make Amla Apple Jam?
Amla – 1 cup (seeds removed)
Apple – 1 cup (peeled, grated or finely chopped)
Sugar or jaggery – 1 to 1 1/4 cups
Water – 1/2 cup
Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
Cinnamon powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Cardamom powder – 1 pinch
How is Amla Apple Jam made?
Step 1-First of all, put amla, apple and water in a pan, then cook on low flame for 10 to 12 minutes, and then turn off the gas after the fruit becomes soft.
Step 2 – Now mash the ripe amla and apple well and keep the texture as per your choice.
Step 3 – Now pour the blended mixture back into the pan, add the sugar or jaggery, and cook over low heat. Continue stirring for 10 to 15 minutes until the mixture thickens.
Step 4 – Then, add lemon juice, cardamom, and cinnamon. The lemon enhances the flavour and makes the jam last longer.
Step 5 – Now take out some jam on a plate, and if it does not remain firm, then it means the jam is ready.
Step 6 – Let the jam cool completely, store it in a clean, dry jar and store it in the refrigerator. It will easily last for 2 to 3 weeks.
