Ghee (clarified butter) – two tablespoons
Sugar or jaggery – half a cup

Cardamom – finely ground
Water or milk – 2 cups
Rose water – 1 teaspoon
How do you make halwa from leftover bread?
Step 1- First, take the leftover bread or bread crusts. Then mix them all together.
Step 2- Add a little ghee to a pan and fry the bread in it over low heat so that the bread doesn’t burn and turns golden brown.
Step 3- Now add the freshly ground cardamom to this bread.
Step 4- Then, add sugar or jaggery to it and keep stirring until the sugar caramelises and turns golden brown.
Step 5- Then, once the sugar has melted, stir it well with the bread.

Step 6- After that, add water and rose water to it.
Step 7- Then mix it well so that the bread is completely broken down.
