What ingredients are required to make Sponge Dosa?
Rice – 2 cups
Poha – 1/2 cup
Urad dal – 1/2 cup
Fenugreek seeds – 1 teaspoon

Water – as needed
Salt – to taste
Oil – for frying
How is Sponge Dosa made?
Step 1- First, wash and soak the rice, poha, urad dal, and fenugreek seeds for at least 4-5 hours. Then, combine all the ingredients in a mixer, add a little water, and make a thick, smooth batter.
Step 2- After this, pour the batter into a large bowl and let it ferment for 8 to 10 hours, or overnight. This gives it a natural tang and a spongy texture.

Step 3- Now heat the pan, pour 1 tablespoon of batter onto it and shape it into a light round shape. Then, apply a little oil on top, cover with a lid, and cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Be careful not to turn it over.
Step 4- When the dosa becomes light golden and spongy from one side, carefully take it out on a plate and serve it with coconut chutney, sambar and tomato chutney.
