What ingredients are needed to make Chhath Puja Khaja?
All-purpose flour – 1 cup
Water – 1/4 cup
Ghee – 2 tablespoons

Oil – for frying
Cardamom powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Sugar – 1 1/2 cups
Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
How is Chhath Puja Khaja made?
1- First, in a large bowl, combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour and 2 tablespoons of ghee and mix well.
2- Then, add water and knead it into a smooth and soft dough. Afterward, lightly coat the dough with oil, cover it, and let it rest for 15 minutes.
3- Then, mix the dough with a little all-purpose flour, roll it out thinly with a rolling pin, and then cut it into a square shape.

4- Then roll it out from the edges, sprinkling a little flour as you go to prevent it from sticking. Roll it tightly and cut it into 1-inch pieces, then gently press down on each piece.
5- Next, heat oil in a pan and fry the chopped pieces slowly over medium heat until they are golden brown and crispy.
6- Then immediately place the fried pastries in the hot sugar syrup and let them soak for 5 minutes.
