Traffic Advisory: The Delhi Traffic Police have put in place comprehensive arrangements for the IPL match on Tuesday between the Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings. This day-night match is scheduled to take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium from 7:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Due to the anticipated large crowds and traffic congestion during the match, special traffic diversions and restrictions will be enforced in and around the stadium.
As per the traffic police, diversions may be enacted on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and Jawaharlal Nehru Marg from 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM as necessary. During this period, heavy and commercial vehicles will not be allowed to enter Daryaganj to Delhi Gate Chowk, Delhi Gate to Guru Nanak Chowk, and ITO to Delhi Gate.
Commuters are encouraged to steer clear of JLN Marg from Rajghat to Delhi Gate in both directions, Asaf Ali Road from Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate, and Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg from Delhi Gate to ITO. To help alleviate traffic congestion, please consider using alternative routes.

Specific gates have been assigned for entry into the stadium. Gates 1 through 8 will be accessible from the south via Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg. Gates 10 through 15 will be reachable from the east via JLN Marg (close to the Ambedkar Stadium Bus Terminal), while Gates 16 through 18 will be accessible from the west via Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg (near the petrol station).
Where will the parking arrangement be?
Parking arrangements include complimentary parking for general spectators on Mata Sundari Road, Rajghat Power House Road, and Velodrome Road, with park-and-ride options available. This service will also be provided from nearby service lanes, including the Shanti Van parking area. Bus services will commence two hours prior to the match and will continue until one hour after the match concludes.
Your vehicle will be towed for wrong parking
Please note that vehicles without authorized parking labels will not be permitted near the stadium. Violating vehicles will be immediately towed and legal action will be taken. Pick-up and drop-off points for app-based taxi services have been designated at Gate No. 2 (near Maulana Azad Medical College), Rajghat Chowk, and the service lane of the Ring Road.
