Delhi Metro Extends Last Train Timings: If you reside in Delhi and commute daily to your office via the Delhi Metro, there is significant news for you. In view of the IPL match scheduled to take place in Delhi today—May 5th—the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has modified its metro service timings for the day.
Due to the IPL match being held today, Tuesday, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, the Delhi Metro has extended the last train service across all its lines for May 5th. The Arun Jaitley Stadium is set to host the Delhi Capitals vs Chennai Super Kings (DC vs CSK) IPL match.
Major Change in Delhi Metro Timings
In light of the IPL match between DC and CSK, the Delhi Metro (DMRC) has taken a major step. It has altered the operational timings of its services specifically for the IPL match taking place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. To ensure that spectators face no difficulties returning home after the match concludes, the last metro train times on all routes have been extended.

Consequently, the last trains on various lines will now run between 11:00 PM and 1:30 AM. The DMRC has released the complete schedule detailing these changes.
Why Were the Metro Timings Extended?
Essentially, thousands of spectators are expected to attend the IPL match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. To make commuting easier for them, the decision was made to extend metro service hours. Furthermore, if the need arises—depending on when the match actually concludes—further adjustments to the timings may be made.
Important Advisory for Passengers
Crowds are likely to be heavy following the match; therefore, please reach the station well in advance to avoid any inconvenience. Keep your Metro Card or ticket ready beforehand.
Please note that this change applies only to today, May 5th. From May 6th onwards, metro timings will revert to their normal schedule, with the last trains operating between 11:00 PM and 11:30 PM, as before.
