Monsoon Alert – Thunderstorm and Rain Warning in UP for Next 48 Hours, Here’s the Update

UP Monsoon Forecast: The weather in Uttar Pradesh is showing significant changes. A slight increase in temperature has provided some relief from the cold. Dense fog covered the area on Monday morning, but the sun came out by 9 AM. People in cities and villages came out of their homes to enjoy the warm sunshine.

People were seen chatting and relaxing in the sun at intersections and parks. But did you know that the weather is going to change significantly in the next 24 hours? Due to a Western Disturbance, cloudy skies and rain are expected in many places. If it rains, the cold weather might return with renewed intensity. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain in several districts. Here’s a detailed look at the weather forecast for Uttar Pradesh.

Western Disturbance to become active

According to the Meteorological Department, a Western Disturbance is expected to become active in various parts of Uttar Pradesh. The weather in UP is expected to change considerably in the next 48 hours. According to the IMD, after a gradual decrease in dense fog, rain with thunder and lightning is expected in western Uttar Pradesh from January 22nd.

Hardoi was the coldest place in UP with a temperature of 3.5 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in Barabanki, Meerut, and Ayodhya was recorded at 4 degrees Celsius. Several areas experienced the effects of fog on Monday morning.

Rain is expected in these districts.

According to the IMD, due to the influence of the Western Disturbance, a spell of rain is likely to begin in several districts of UP from January 22nd. It is also expected to reach eastern Uttar Pradesh. Due to fog on Sunday morning, visibility was zero in several districts of the state.

The Meteorological Department recorded zero visibility in Moradabad, Aligarh, Ghaziabad, Bareilly, Azamgarh, Gorakhpur, Barabanki, and Kanpur. Along with this, visibility was recorded at 10 meters in Fursatganj, 20 meters in Ballia and Bahraich, 30 meters in Sultanpur and Fatehgarh, and 50 meters in Lucknow, Hardoi, and Varanasi.

According to the Meteorological Department, dense fog is also likely to prevail in Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, and Sant Kabir Nagar.

Besides these, dense fog is also expected in Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Gonda, Balrampur, and Shravasti. Dense fog is also likely in Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Ambedkarnagar, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, and surrounding areas.
