Premanand Ji Maharaj’s advice: Nowadays, most people prioritise their own comfort. Some people truly value a life of comfort. But this comfort can often become a burden in the long run. In the past, people led a simple lifestyle, eating simple home-cooked meals, working hard, and waking up at 4 a.m. This kept them physically strong. However, today, some people go to bed late and wake up late in the morning. This lifestyle has a detrimental effect on their health. Poor lifestyles are causing people to lose their stamina and self-confidence. A person asked Maharaj Ji, “Is it right to take a hot bath?”

After hearing this question from his devotee, Premanand Ji Maharaj replied, “If a person avoids bathing in hot water, they will return to normal physically. In fact, hot water can help relax the body after physical exercise. Hot water depletes the body’s natural energy.” Bathing in hot water reduces the body’s ability to tolerate natural cold, and both our body and mind become friends.

Premanand Maharaj Ji says, “One should harmonise with nature.” When a person bathes in cold water, their body learns to withstand and tolerate natural cold. This increases blood circulation in the body, boosts mental strength, and helps energise the individual.

This strength is necessary for practising celibacy. It should be understood that celibacy does not only mean sexual abstinence but also the channelling of energy in the right direction.

Premanand Maharaj Ji further explained, “Only those who live a life of simplicity and discipline and who value power can follow the path of celibacy.”
