Monsoon Update – Heavy to Very Heavy Rain warning in 6 States over Next 48 Hours

Monsoon Update: According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), a low-pressure area is expected to form over the Comorin region, the southwest Bay of Bengal, and Sri Lanka around November 25th. Amidst the cold weather, a rain alert has been issued for six states across the country. The rain will cause temperatures to drop even further. Meanwhile, a severe cold wave is expected in North India. Temperatures are expected to drop significantly from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh to Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, and Kashmir.

According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued for heavy rainfall in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands between November 24th and 28th. In addition, heavy rain is expected in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Mahe from November 24th to 25th. Furthermore, heavy to heavy rain is expected in Lakshadweep, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam on November 24th.

Rain warning in 6 states

According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued in several areas of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands due to heavy rainfall. Fishermen living along the coast have been advised to be cautious during this period. Due to this rain, temperatures in the surrounding states will drop, and the cold will intensify.

Weather in Delhi
Delhi’s temperatures may drop further in the coming days. On November 24th, the minimum temperature is expected to drop to 10 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature will drop to 25 degrees Celsius. Winds will also blow at 20 to 25 kilometres per hour in the morning.

 Uttar Pradesh Weather Forecast
Temperatures will drop sharply in 10 districts of Uttar Pradesh: Agra, Kanpur, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Mathura, Varanasi, Jhansi, and Aligarh from November 24th.

Bihar Today’s Weather Forecast
All districts in Bihar are likely to see a drop in maximum temperatures tomorrow. Strong winds are expected in the morning.
