Monsoon Update: The weather in North India is rapidly changing. A steady drop in temperatures and strong winds have exacerbated the cold. On the other hand, intermittent snowfall is occurring in the mountains. A mild cold has set in in many states, including Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. People in the plains are beginning to feel the chill as temperatures steadily drop. According to the Meteorological Department, cold conditions are rapidly intensifying across Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. Dense fog has begun to cover many areas. On November 21st, the maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to be around 24°C and the minimum around 10°C.

 Heavy Rainfall Alert in These States
1. Andhra Pradesh – According to the Meteorological Department, rainfall is expected in coastal areas from November 21st to 23rd. Strong winds are also possible.

2. Kerala – The rainy season is continuing in the state. A warning has been issued for heavy rain, thunderstorms, and lightning in several districts for the next four days.

3. Tamil Nadu – Intermittent rain will continue in Tamil Nadu from November 21st to 23rd. Additionally, the weather may remain terrible in some districts.

4. Andaman and Nicobar and Lakshadweep – An alert has been issued for heavy rain during this period in these islands.

5. Mahe, Yanam, and Rayalaseema – The IMD has stated that these areas are also likely to experience heavy rain and thunderstorms over the next four days.

Snowfall Alert
The weather in Bihar remains dry due to westerly winds. According to the Meteorological Department, a cold wave is likely over the next 2 to 3 days. According to the Meteorological Department, a cold wave accompanied by fog is expected in the coming days. The cold wave may intensify into a severe one in the last week of November. Intermittent snowfall is occurring in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and the upper reaches of Jammu and Kashmir.

Strong Wind Alert
According to the Meteorological Department, winds of 40 to 50 kmph are predicted on November 21 and 24. Wind speeds may increase to 50-60 kmph from November 21 to 23. On the temperature front, minimum temperatures in Central India are expected to increase by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius over the next four days.

 Uttar Pradesh Fog Alert
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to remain active in most parts of South and Northeast India from November 21 to 25. The Meteorological Department has issued a cold wave warning for several parts of North India, including Delhi-NCR. Meanwhile, a blanket of fog has begun to appear in many areas of Uttar Pradesh.
