Monsoon Update: The weather across the country is rapidly changing. According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures will drop by 3 to 4 degrees in the next three days due to thunderstorms and rain in parts of South India and the Northeast. Currently, an alert has been issued for rain and thunderstorms in parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, and Karnataka.
Severe cold winds are expected in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Punjab starting Sunday night. Freezing conditions are expected in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, with night temperatures dropping below 10 degrees in many areas.
Light to moderate rain is expected in many areas of Tamil Nadu on November 9th and then again between November 12th and 13th. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are also likely in Kerala and Mahe from November 8th to 9th. Light rain accompanied by lightning and thunderstorms is expected in Tamil Nadu from November 9th to 12th. Meanwhile, no significant weather changes are expected in other parts of the country this week. A cold wave warning has been issued for several areas of northern and central India.
Cold wave-like conditions may persist in eastern Rajasthan and western Madhya Pradesh between November 9 and 10. Night temperatures in some areas of these states have been recorded below 10 degrees Celsius, which is 4 to 7 degrees below normal.

Night temperatures are also 2 to 4 degrees below normal in Delhi, southern Punjab, Haryana, eastern and western Madhya Pradesh, and some areas of west Uttar Pradesh. Over the next 6 to 7 days, the average minimum temperature in northwest and central India may be 2 to 5 degrees below normal.
Rain warning in these states
