Monsoon Alert: The weather has changed significantly in most states of India. While it is raining heavily in some areas, flood-like conditions have been created due to continuous rainfall in others. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding heavy rains in most states for the coming days.
The IMD has stated that there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in 22 states across the country. The monsoon was expected to reach Delhi on June 27, but it did not occur. The people of Delhi are still waiting for the monsoon. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain for the next two days for Delhi. During this time, the temperature of Delhi will also fall.
Heavy rain warning in 22 states
According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued regarding rain in 22 states of the country for the next seven days. IMD has issued an alert regarding heavy rains in many states, including Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh. According to the latest update of IMD, strong winds and lightning are also expected along with rain.
Rain warning in these states
An alert has been issued for heavy rainfall at various locations in Goa, Maharashtra, and Gujarat over the next 7 days. Meanwhile, heavy rains are expected at various locations in Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh on Monday. An alert has been issued for rain in Punjab and Haryana from June 29 to July 2. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Western Rajasthan, Eastern Rajasthan, and Himachal Pradesh on July 3 and 4.
Light to moderate rainfall is expected at most places in North-West India over the next 7 days. Additionally, thunder, lightning, and strong winds can also occur.
Heavy rain in Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Odisha
According to the Meteorological Department, a warning has been issued for heavy rains at various places in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Odisha until July 4. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in Bihar from June 29 to July 4. Heavy rains are expected in Chhattisgarh on July 1 and 2.
