Bihar Election 2025 First Phase Election – Voting is being held in 121 seats across 18 districts in the first phase of the Bihar elections. Voters have been thronging polling stations since morning. RJD chief and former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav also cast his vote after lining up early in the morning. He arrived at the polling station with his family.

Former Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav also cast his vote at the polling station. Deputy Chief Ministers Vijay Sinha and Samrat Chaudhary also cast their votes at the polling station. Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife Rabri Devi, Tejashwi Yadav, Misa Bharti, and Rohini Yadav cast their votes at the polling station in Patna. During this, Misa Bharti, MP from Pataliputra, attacked the double-engine government in Bihar. She claimed that a grand alliance will form the government in this election.

They have claimed to win 200 seats. Former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav launched a scathing attack on the NDA government, brandishing his inked finger. He appealed to the people of Bihar to bring about change, build a new Bihar, and form a new government.

Bihar’s Deputy CM and Lakhisarai seat candidate Vijay Sinha made a surprising statement after casting his vote. He said, “We too have participated in this great festival of democracy. With our votes, we elect the Prime Minister of the country and the Chief Minister of Bihar. Biharis will be proud, and today Bihar will be free from those who abuse Biharis and bring anarchy, jungle raj, and gangster rule.”

How many candidates are trying their luck?

1,314 candidates are contesting in the first phase. The number of voters is 37.5 million across 121 seats in 18 districts. According to the Election Commission report, a total of 45,341 polling stations have been set up, of which 36,733 are in rural areas. The second phase of voting will take place on November 11, 2025. The results will be declared on November 14.
