How did the accident happen?
Padhua police station in-charge Abhishek Singh stated that the car’s occupants were returning to Bahraich district after attending a wedding in Lakhimpur. Preliminary investigations revealed that the driver, Bablu, son of Rajesh, fell asleep at the wheel, causing the vehicle to lose control and plunge into a siphon. Five people died on the spot.
Upon receiving information about the accident, the charge station, Abhishek Singh, arrived at the scene with his team, and a rescue operation was immediately launched. Police rescued the seriously injured driver, Bablu, who is reported to be out of danger. The other five people in the car drowned on the spot. The five deceased, Jitendra, Ghanshyam, Lalji, Azimullah, and Surendra Vishusokha, were residents of the Sujauli police station area of Bahraich district.
