An Indian citizen was killed in a shooting incident. The incident occurred early Friday morning in the city of Lawrenceville. Four people were shot inside a single house. Three children were also present in the house at the time of the incident, but they managed to escape unharmed.

According to a report, police received a report of a shooting in the Brook Ivy Court area around 2:30 AM on Friday. Upon arrival, police found the bodies of four adults inside the house, all of whom had died from gunshot wounds. One of the deceased was a woman of Indian origin.
Indian Embassy Expresses Condolences
The Indian Consulate has expressed its condolences over this tragic incident. The consulate stated on the social media platform ‘X’ that the incident was allegedly related to a family dispute and resulted in the death of an Indian citizen. The consulate added that the accused has been arrested and all possible assistance is being provided to the victim’s family.

Police have identified the accused as 51-year-old Vijay Kumar, a resident of Atlanta. The deceased include Vijay Kumar’s wife, Meemu Dogra (43), Gaurav Kumar (33), Nidhi Chander (37), and Harish Chander (38). Vijay Kumar has been charged with multiple serious offences, including four counts of murder, aggravated assault, and cruelty to children.
