SIR to be implemented in all states
The Election Commission will soon begin the Special Intensive Revision in all states. Preparations for this are almost complete. The Commission may implement it in phases to avoid increasing the workload in all states simultaneously. According to a report, flood-affected states may be excluded from this process.
In these states, the administration is busy with relief and rehabilitation work, preventing the deployment of election staff. Similarly, local body elections are scheduled in some other states in the next two to three months, which will completely preoccupy the administration. The SIR deadline for these states is also expected to be different. This is consistent with the trends of previous revisions.
All political parties are putting in their best efforts
The Bihar Assembly elections are likely to be held in November. The Election Commission may announce the voting dates in October 2025. All political parties in the NDA and Grand Alliance are making all-out efforts.
The main contest here is believed to be between the NDA and the Grand Alliance. The Jansuraj Party, emerging as a third option, is also seen making all-out efforts.
