The USGS states that the epicentre of the earthquake was in Ghorasal, Dhaka, and the depth was 10 km. According to the National Centre for Seismology, the tremor follows two medium-intensity earthquakes that struck Pakistan and Afghanistan on Friday morning. The quake shook a large area of ​​South Bengal. The tremor was felt at 10:10 am and lasted for about 20 seconds.
