The Meteorological Department has warned that Cyclone Ditwa is expected to move along the Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coast by the morning of November 30th. Heavy rain is expected in several districts. The IMD has issued a heavy rainfall warning for Cuddalore, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Viluppuram, Chengalpattu, Puducherry-Karaikal, and Thanjavur.

Tiruchirappalli, Chennai, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, and Ranipet have also been included. Heavy rainfall warnings have been issued for Vellore, Dharmapuri, Dindigul, and Theni.
