China Train Accident: A tragic accident occurred in China’s southern province of Yunnan on Thursday morning. Eleven railway workers were killed, and two others were injured. The accident happened when a test train testing earthquake-related equipment derailed at Luoyangzhen Railway Station in Kunming City, where railway workers were working on a turning section of track. The train veered onto the same track and collided, killing 11 people. According to AFP, the accident occurred at Kunming Loyang Town Station in southwestern China. Early Thursday morning, a test train used for testing seismic equipment collided with construction workers, crushing several workers.

The train was travelling as usual when it veered off course and crashed into construction workers at Kunming Loyang Town Station. Two people were reportedly injured in the accident. The incident occurred at Luoyangzhen Station in Kunming City. Test train number 55537, used to test seismic equipment, collided with construction workers working on the tracks while approaching a curve.

How did this accident happen?
The railway and local authorities immediately launched emergency rescue operations. According to officials, station operations have resumed, and the injured are receiving treatment. The Kunming Railway Authority posted on social media expressing condolences to the victims and their families. The accident is currently under investigation.
