Afghanistan earthquake – The ground in Afghanistan was once again shaken by an earthquake. Tremors were felt in parts of Afghanistan on Monday morning, November 3rd. The magnitude of the earthquake measured 6.3 on the Richter scale. According to Reuters, there are reports of damage to property and property, with hundreds of people estimated to have died.

According to the USGS, the epicentre of the November 3rd earthquake was in Kholm, near the city of Mazar-e-Sharif, at a depth of 28 kilometres (17 miles).

The tremor reached the capital, Kabul. In Mazar-e-Sharif, many people ran out into the streets in the middle of the night, fearing their houses would collapse. Tremors were felt in several other major cities besides Kabul.

A resident of Mazar-e-Sharif told CNN that his family was “awoke in fear” when the earthquake struck, and his children “started running down the stairs screaming.” The earthquake also struck parts of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.
