T4 Ultra: Vivo is on the verge of releasing the T4 Ultra, a new entrant in its mid-range segment, and hopes are running high. The new model is being launched as a premium version of the just-released Vivo T4. Coming in early June 2025, the T4 Ultra can be expected to set a higher benchmark with enhanced performance, enhanced battery, and a significant jump in camera hardware, particularly when compared to the Vivo T3 Ultra.

Performance and Processor

The Vivo T4 Ultra is said to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chip, a premium processor that has supposedly beaten Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in scores such as AnTuTu and Geekbench. Over the Dimensity 9200+ in the Vivo T3 Ultra, this is an upgrade of note. Both devices are said to be powered by Funtouch OS 15 on top of Android 15 for a quick and up-to-date user experience.

Display Technology

The T4 Ultra is reportedly to be equipped with a 6.67-inch quad-curved pOLED display, featuring a 120Hz refresh rate for seamless scrolling. What makes it particularly special is a claimed 5,000 nits peak brightness, which could be one of the highest in the mid-range segment. Eye comfort certification is also likely, providing a leg up on the T3 Ultra, which does not have breakdown brightness specs but does have comparable display sizes.

Camera Setup

This is where T4 Ultra outshines T3 Ultra. The new device is expected to feature a 50MP Sony IMX921 primary sensor and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens — a huge improvement over T3 Ultra, which does not have a telephoto camera at all. T4 Ultra also features an 8MP ultra-wide lens, providing more diverse photography capabilities.

Battery Life and Charging Speed

The Vivo T4 Ultra is predicted to be loaded with a huge 6,000mAh battery, which is backed up by 90W FlashCharge technology. The arrangement is stated to fill up to 50% in less than 30 minutes, becoming one of the quickest-charging phones in the segment. Comparatively, the T3 Ultra doesn’t include these features, giving the T4 Ultra an edge for consumers concerned with battery and rapid top-ups.

Expected Launch and Market Impact

The T4 Ultra is scheduled for release in early June 2025, potentially alongside a T4 Lite that is more affordable. With its high-end hardware at potentially a mid-price tag, it might challenge the likes of the Realme GT Neo 7. The addition of a periscope camera and new-gen chipset can rewrite the book on this class.
