‘Space Gen Chandrayaan’ Trailer Released – If you think the success of Chandrayaan-3 is just the story of a rocket landing on the moon, then think again. TVF (The Viral Fever) and JioHotstar are bringing a series that will showcase the sweat, tears, and never-give-up spirit of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) scientists. The series is titled ‘Space Gen: Chandrayaan’. On Tuesday, the makers released the trailer, which is guaranteed to give you goosebumps.
What’s special about the trailer?
The trailer begins with the heartbreaking moment when Chandrayaan-2’s lander ‘Vikram’ crashed on the lunar surface. The series not only depicts the mission’s flight but also the “interrogation” and criticism the scientists faced afterward. The story moves forward to the COVID-19 pandemic era, where while the whole world was at a standstill, our scientists were busy preparing for Chandrayaan-3, facing tough competition from Russia’s ‘Luna Mission’.

Fact Check: Was there really an ‘interrogation’ of the scientists?
A small clarification is necessary here. The series trailer shows sharp questioning (interrogation) of the scientists. In real life, whenever a major mission fails, a committee is formed for ‘Failure Analysis’. To add drama and emotion, the series has been depicted with some creative liberties. In reality, ISRO scientists received full support from the government and the public.
