Rishab Shetty Kantara Chapter 1 Smashes Records – Rishabh Shetty’s film “Kantara Chapter 1” is currently making waves at the box office. By the last day of its first week of release, the film has surpassed the ₹450 crore mark, earning a massive ₹1.5 billion (US$2.5 billion) mark. Thanks to the overwhelming response from audiences, the film is doing excellent business not only in India but also abroad.
The film’s impressive collections continued on the seventh day.
On the seventh day (Wednesday), the film earned ₹25 crore (US$2.5 billion) net. This brings the total domestic collection of “Kantara Chapter 1” to ₹316 crore (US$3.79 billion gross).
Most interestingly, the Hindi dubbed version of the film has crossed the ₹100 crore mark, while the Kannada version has also reached around ₹99 crore.
The Telugu dub has grossed over ₹60 crore, while the Malayalam and Tamil versions have also earned over ₹20 crore each. This means the film has firmly established itself in every language—a true Pan-India blockbuster!
Excellent performance overseas too
“Kantara Chapter 1” continues to be a force not only in India but also in overseas markets. The film has earned over $8 million (approximately ₹67 crore) internationally so far.
Although its daily earnings have now dropped below $1 million, analysts believe the film could rebound in the second weekend.
Total global earnings have reached ₹451 crore so far, and it is estimated to surpass ₹500 crore by the end of the second week.

The film has surpassed many all-time superhits. According to reports, ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ has surpassed films like ‘Brahmastra Part One’ (₹431 crore) and ‘3 Idiots’ (₹450 crore). All eyes are now on whether the film will see a significant jump in its second weekend and move towards the ₹1000 crore club.
