SSC Releases Steno Grade C and D Results. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the results for the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Recruitment Examination 2025. Candidates who took the exam held in August can now check their results by visiting the SSC’s official website, ssc.gov.in. The Commission has also published the list of selected candidates and the cut-off marks along with the results.

As millions of candidates across the country apply and appear for SSC recruitment exams, the Commission has now provided a special update on the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Recruitment Examination 2025.

When was the exam held? Learn important information

The SSC Stenographer Examination was held on August 6, 7, 8, and 11, 2025, at various examination centres across the country. The exam was computer-based, and candidates participated in different shifts. Since the question papers and difficulty levels varied across sessions, the Commission implemented a normalisation process to ensure fair results.

What Now? The Next Step is the Skill Test

Releasing the results, the SSC stated that candidates who successfully passed the written examination will now be called for a stenography skill test. The skill test date and admit card information will be uploaded on the Commission’s website soon.

According to the Commission, 8,624 candidates have been selected for the skill test for Grade C. 22,456 candidates have advanced to the next stage for Grade D.

Qualifying Marks

The SSC had set the minimum qualifying marks as follows:

  • General candidates: 30%
  • OBC/EWS candidates: 25%
  • SC, ST, PwD, and Ex-Servicemen: 20%

Based on these marks, candidates have been selected according to the normalised score.

  • First, visit the official website, ssc.gov.in.
  • Go to the Notice Board section on the homepage.
  • Click on the “Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ Examination, 2025 – Declaration of Result” link.

When will the skill test schedule be released?

The SSC stated in the notice that “The skill test schedule will be made available on the Commission’s website in due course. The representations submitted by the candidates in the answer keys have been thoroughly examined, and corrections have been made where necessary. The result has been prepared based on this final answer key.”

The Commission will also release the final answer key and marks for all candidates on the website soon.
