Jharkhand School Closed
The Ranchi district administration in Jharkhand issued a directive on December 8th stating that all schools will remain closed until January 10th due to the IMD’s cold wave warning. This order applies to all students from KG to 12th grade. January 11th is a Sunday, so schools will reopen on Monday, January 12th.

Agra School Closed
The Agra district of Uttar Pradesh is currently experiencing a severe cold wave. Instructions have been issued to keep all schools up to class 12, including those affiliated with the UP Board, CBSE, and other boards, closed until January 10th. Schools will remain closed tomorrow as well, and since January 11th is a Sunday, schools will reopen on January 12th.
Bihar School Closed:
In Chapra, all schools will remain closed until January 10th.
In Vaishali, schools through class 8 will remain closed until January 11th.
In Kaimur, schools through class 10 will remain closed until January 13th.
In Begusarai, schools will remain closed until January 10th. Schools in Araria closed until January 11 for classes up to 8th grade.
Schools for young children in Banka closed until January 12.
Schools up to 8th grade in Kishanganj and Rohtas districts closed until January 9.
Schools in the Katihar district through 8th grade will remain closed until January 10.

Delhi Schools Closed
In Delhi, the Directorate of Education has released the 2025-26 academic calendar, confirming that winter vacations will run from January 1 to January 15, 2026.
Haryana Schools Closed
Haryana has announced winter vacations from January 1 to January 15, 2025, with classes resuming on January 16.
